Antimicrobial Metabolites of Bacillus velezensis Reshape Rice Rhizosphere Microbial Community Composition and Induce Host Resistance Against Rhizoctonia solani

Pathogen invasion has a negative impact on plant growth and health; however, plants can vigorously change their rhizosphere microbiome and adapt to survive under biotic stress. Biocontrol agents and their metabolites represent a green solution to emerging food production challenges but knowledge of their role in shaping the rhizosphere microbial communities is still lacking. In the current study evaluated the effect of a biocontrol strain and their corresponding purified metabolites on induced systemic resistance in rice against pathogen and rhizosphere bacterial and fungal communities composition.
