An all-stage fire blight control: remote sensing, DNA, enzyme and plant activator technologies for cankers, blossom blight and shoot blight

The goal of this research project is to generate new knowledge that will help U.S. apple growers manage the economically important plant pathogen Erwinia amylovora, the bacterium that causes fire blight. As part of the project, data on the fire blight bacterial canker microbiome was collected from six apple cultivars, including: Cripps Pink, Gala, Aztec, Fuji, Granniwinkle, Hewe's Crab, and an unknown cultivar.
