资源简介:
The goal of lima bean breeding is to develop new plant varieties that are more productive and consistent. This process can influence various plant characteristics, including the traits of their roots. Changes in root traits can impact the rhizosphere, the area of soil influenced by the roots, which in turn affects the microbial communities living there. This study used genetic sequencing techniques (specifically, 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing) to analyze and compare the microbial communities in the rhizosphere of different lima bean genotypes. This included both the parent plants with contrasting traits and their offspring with varied genetic profiles. The aim was to understand how lima bean breading affect the assembly of the rhizosphere microbiome.
