We performed spatial transcriptomics to characterize wound tissue response to commensal and pathogenic staphylococcus strains. Our analysis has revealed unique epithelial responses to each strain. Overall design: Murine intact dorsal skin and dorsal skin wounds that were treated with different staph strains were embedded in the same FFPE block and then analyzed using spatial transcriptomics.
