资源简介:

The files included here allow for the recreation of the figures in Murray et al. 2026. The datasets are organized as follows: The files "P3_20210927H1_2254_2320_pass_1.nc", "P3_20210929H2_2112_2137_pass_0.nc", 'P3_20210929H2_2224_2250_pass_2.nc', and "P3_20210927H1_2320_2347_pass_2.nc" allow for the recreation of the CRL and TDR curtain plots shown in Figures 1 and 5. The file goes_16.nc can be used to recreate the satellite plot for the Figure 1. The file metadata_radial_legs.pkl contains the flight leg, TC strength, and environmental shear strength and direction information required to recreate the statistical plots throughout the paper. The file crl_classifications.pkl contains cloud height, radial distance, and crl_classification information used to create the CRL cloud statistics plots. The values 0-4 within the crl_classification field represent: 0 = clear air, no shallow clouds, 1 = rainfall to the surface, 2 = clear air above, shallow clouds below, 3 = shallow cloud with rainfall above, 4 = convective cloud. The file convective_stratiform_clear_air_percents.pkl contains calculated clear air, stratiform rainfall, and convection for each flight leg, and for each of the shear quadrants. This can be used to recreate Figure 6. The file cloud_width_height_spacings.pkl can recreate Figure 5, showing the widths, spacings, and heights of cloud elements separated by flight leg. The file all_rmws.nc contains the radius of maximum wind values used to normalize the data in Figures 7 and 8. Additional flight level and TDR data used to complete the statistical analysis can be found on the NOAA / AOML / HRD landing page.
