The OliveFlyTrap dataset contains field-acquired images captured inside smart McPhail traps deployed in commercial olive orchards. The images are annotated for three classes: Bactrocera oleae female, Bactrocera oleae male, and Glyphode moth. The dataset comprises 210 images and 1,348 annotated insect instances and was collected under real operational conditions, including high insect density, occlusions, and the presence of non-target insects. It is intended to support research on automated pest monitoring, small-object detection, and sex-specific classification in agricultural environments.
