SCOP

SCOP（Structural Classification of Proteins）是蛋白质结构分类数据库。1995年，由英国剑桥医学研究委员会分子生物学实验室（MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology）的研究人员创建，主要对已知蛋白质三维结构进行人工分类，描述蛋白质之间的结构和进化关系。该数据库采用层次化分类体系，包括家族、超家族和折叠等不同层次。SCOP (Structural Classification of Proteins) is a database dedicated to protein structure classification. Developed in 1995 by researchers at the Medical Research Council (MRC) Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge, UK, it mainly conducts manual classification of known three-dimensional (3D) protein structures and describes the structural and evolutionary relationships among proteins. This database adopts a hierarchical classification system that includes multiple levels such as families, superfamilies and folds.
