This dataset originates from the study "Mechanism of Microstructural Evolution of Coal Char during Co-pyrolysis of Coking Coal and Additives". It includes proximate and ultimate analysis data for Kunpeng fat coal (FM), Yonghesheng lean coal (SM), coal tar pitch (CTP), and high-density polyethylene (HDPE), as well as thermogravimetric (TG/DTG) analysis data for the blended coal sample BC (FM:SM = 9:1) with 0%, 2%, 4%, 6%, and 8% additions of either CTP or HDPE, obtained during stepwise pyrolysis from 350 to 600°C. The TG/DTG data comprise the initial temperature (Tₛ), the temperature at maximum mass loss rate (Tₚ), the final temperature (Tf), the maximum mass loss rate (DTGmax), and the total mass loss. The dataset also provides X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Raman spectroscopy analysis results for pyrolysis products at different temperature points (350°C, 400°C, 450°C, 500°C, 550°C, 600°C). The XRD data include interlayer spacing (d₀₀₂), stacking height (Lc), lateral size (La), and aromaticity (fa), while the Raman data consist of the ID/IG ratio and the full width at half maximum of the G-band (FWHM-G). Additionally, correlation analysis data between d₀₀₂ and FWHM-G are included (R² > 0.85). All data were obtained using a STA449 F3 thermogravimetric analyzer, a KYOWAGLAS-XA XRD instrument, and a HORIBA Jobin Yvon confocal Raman microscope.
