This dataset contains code and data for the manuscript 'Night-day CO2 differences from spaceborne lidar reveal land photosynthetic carbon uptake'. The ’Code.zip‘ file contains the analysis and plotting code (including fig. 1-3 and tables 1-2). The remaining files are the data required for running the code. Download links for these data files are as follows: WRF-Chem simulations are available from https://data.aeronomie.be/dataset/wrf-chem-simulations-of-co2-ch4-and-co-over-europe. Access to the DQ-1 data is restricted at the time of submission. Although the data can be requested at https://data.cresda.cn/#/home, it is only available within China. Researchers in China with appropriate licenses can access the satellite data for free. Meteorological auxiliary data are available from https://portal.nccs.nasa.gov/datashare/gmao/geos-fp/das/. Spectroscopic parameters for the CO2 absorption line(s) used in the IPDA forward model are available from https://hitran.org/.
