Foothills Fireworks Ban Areas

This is a polygon data set representing areas in the Boise foothills where setting off fireworks in prohibited. City Ordinance 5667 states “It shall be unlawful for any person to use any fireworks, either "dangerous" or "safe and sane" in the area defined by this code as "the foothills". It shall also be unlawful for any person to ignite or cause to be ignited any open flame in the area defined by this code as the foothills.” A written description of the foothills area boundary is provided in City Ordinance 5667 and on this website.
