Intolerance of uncertainty mediates the relationship between social anxiety and problematic smartphone use severity in college students

The attached Excel dataset includes the 329 participants analyzed in the present study. The first variable is an identification variable that we used in our project, consecutively numbering participants (id). Next, age (age) and sex (sex) appear. Next, the 12 items of the Intolerance of Uncertainty Scale-12 appear (iu1 to iu12). Next, the ten items of the Smartphone Addiction Scale-Short Version appear (sas1 to sas10). Next, the 17 items of the Social Phobia Inventory appear (spin1 to spin17). The item-level data are missing-imputed, as discussed in the paper. Finally, summed, total scores appear for the Intolerance of Uncertainty Scale-12 (iu_total), Smartphone Addiction Scale-Short Version (sas_total), and Social Phobia Inventory (spin_total). Note that there is some missing data present for participants who skipped most items on a given scale, as discussed in the paper.
