Reference Waterlines (RW) and Satellite-Derived Waterlines (SDW) for two macrotidal beaches

This repository contains two geospatial datasets (in GeoPackage format in EPSG:32630) providing waterline extractions for two macrotidal beaches in northern Spain: Salinas (Asturias) and El Puntal (Cantabria). RW.gpkg (Reference Waterlines): Ground-truth data consisting of instantaneous waterlines manually photo-interpreted from Sentinel-2 imagery. SDW.gpkg (Satellite-Derived Waterlines): Automated waterline extractions based on spectral indices (NDWI, MNDWI, AWEInsh, and SCoWI). These waterlines were generated by applying three different thresholding methods: Zero, global Otsu, and Local Minimum Otsu (Otsu LM).
