TYPIC: Socio-environmental trade-offs and synergies in terrestrial carbon-water coupling in a changing Planet

This repository is used to store and share datasets used for Horizon Europe's MSCA-PF project (grant agreement no. 101152010), to meet the public and free access requirement by European Commission. The project, entitled "Socio-environmental trade-offs and synergies in terrestrial carbon-water coupling in a changing Planet" (TYPIC), aims to quantify the coupling between terrestrial carbon and water cycles and its sensitivity to environmental and social changes at the global scale, and further, to identify key hotspot areas subject to trade-off or synergies mechanisms between environmental and social drivers. To this end, a series of satellite-derived gross primary production (GPP) and vegetation transpiration (Tr) products have been collected and stored. Raw products are freely available on the corresponding websites. Source of these products and associated reference have been listed in "readme.txt" file. Products provided here have already been well processed, which have been resampled to a common 0.05°×0.05° spatial resolution through bilinear method of interpolation and aggregated to the monthly scale. Meanwhile, phenology data derived from VIP and MODIS (MCD12Q2), and land cover type map derived from MODIS (MCD12C1) have also been provided here, which should be necessary inputs for subsequent analyses.
