Water accounts for the main source of production of electrical power in the Dinaric Alps, and contribute significantly to the countries’ economies. Albania gains 83 % of all electricity from hydropower plants, Montenegro 75 %, Bosnia and Herzegovina 60% and Croatia 54 %.Data were collected in the framework of the DIKTAS project.
