Blattella germanica RNA-seq of control and E93 depleted embryos

E93 is a transcription factor known as a trigger for the pupa to adult metamorphosis in holometabolous insects. In the hemimetabolous cockroach (Blattella germanica), E93 has an additional expression peak in the embryo during the maternal-to-zygotic transition. To elucidate the role of E93 in hemimetabolous insect embryos, we knocked down E93 expression via maternal RNAi in two days-old embryos followed by mRNA-seq.
