资源简介:
This dataset comprises anonymized clinical, laboratory, and ultrasound data from 77 adult patients (aged ≥18 years) with acute respiratory failure who were treated with non-invasive ventilation (NIV) in the emergency department of a tertiary care hospital between January and October 2024. The dataset was designed to evaluate the prognostic performance of ultrasound-measured right diaphragm excursion in predicting NIV failure. It also includes clinical and laboratory variables assessed for their predictive value. Variables include demographic data, comorbidities (e.g., COPD, heart failure), vital signs, arterial blood gas parameters, laboratory markers (e.g., lactate, base excess), and diaphragm excursion measurements obtained via M-mode ultrasound prior to NIV initiation. Outcomes such as NIV success or failure, and need for intubation, are recorded. This dataset supports replication of analyses including ROC curve evaluation, logistic regression modeling, and subgroup comparisons. It is intended to aid researchers in exploring diaphragm function and its prognostic significance in emergency respiratory care.
