Skid resistance data in the single carriageway roads of Gipuzkoa (Spain) between 2019 and 2021

Data of the skid resistance measured in the single carriageway road network of Gipuzkoa (Spain) for a segment with the same traffic value. Skid resistance values are obtained by means of the SCRIM (Sideway Coefficient Routine Investigation Machine) in the road network of Gipuzkoa in summer. where the skid resistance values are at their lowest value. Values are measured at 20 m interval. Segments with the same traffic volumes were considered, following the segments defined by the Province Council of Gipuzkoa (Diputación Foral de Gipuzkoa / Gipuzkoako Foru Aldundia). The Mean Summer SCRIM Coefficient (MSSC) value is calculated for the segment as the average of the 20 m-subsegments of that segment (with the same traffic value). Then, values exceeding the average + a standard deviation are eliminated and a new MSSC is calculated. This is the provided value. Additionally, the Average Annual Daily Traffic (AADT) and the AADT of the heavy vehicles for the segment are included, considering both directions. A vehicle exceeding 3,500 kg is considered as a heavy vehicle.
