This project investigates the structure and functional potential of microbial communities in agricultural soil subjected to long-term herbicide application. Shotgun metagenomic sequencing was performed on 48 soil samples collected from treated and untreated experimental plots, before and after S-metolachlor application. The study aims to characterize the taxonomic composition, metabolic pathways, and antibiotic resistance genes to understand how herbicide exposure shapes soil microbiomes and resistomes.
