Atlantic Canada frequently experiences major storms, particularly tropical cyclones transitioning into post-tropical storms. Long-term records are scarce, with most studies focusing on marine and coastal overwash, and none on aeolian sediment records. To address this gap, we analyzed grain-size and geochemical data from two ombrotrophic peatlands in Quebec's Magdalen Islands, using loss-on-ignition and micro-X-ray fluorescence core-scanning to establish and examine paleo-storm proxies. This dataset includes age-models based on lead-210 and carbon-14, storm proxies (grain-size and Titanium measurements), and paleo-storm frequency reconstructions for both sites, covering the past 4000 years. This data provide new insights into past storm activity in the region.
