This work focuses on failure mechanism analysis of dynamically loaded bolts for rail transit. Ultrasonic non-destructive testing is adopted to identify the failure characteristics of rail transit train bolts, which provides guidance for the maintenance of rail transit trains and further safeguards the personal and property safety of passengers. 1. Data Collection and Cleaning: For bolts at key positions of high-speed trains, ultrasonic signals are regularly transmitted and collected to establish the bolt failure mechanism model. Subsequently, the dataset is cleaned by removing abnormal data generated during equipment debugging and handling missing values. 2. Data Analysis: The detected data are aggregated and organized. The change in bolt preload and bolt temperature during the service of the bolts are monitored, and the failure mechanism of bolt states is analyzed. A bolt is considered to have reached its working limit (i.e., failed) when the change in preload exceeds 0.5 and no sudden temperature change occurs; otherwise, the bolt is judged to be in normal working condition. 3. Data Application: Based on the failure mechanism analysis of rail transit bolts, ultrasonic non-destructive testing is used to detect preload and temperature to determine the failure mechanism of trains, ensuring the normal operation of trains and the personal and property safety of passengers.
