Differential Engagement of Thalamic Nuclei Orchestrates Consciousness States Across Anesthesia, Sleep, and Disorders of Consciousness

The time_series_data folder contains the data used for the Anesthesia, DoC, and sleep studies described in this article. The Anesthesia dataset comprises two sessions: session-001 represents the awake state, while session-002 represents the anesthetized state.Each subfolder contains two files: Thal_time_series.npy contains time series extracted from 11 thalamic regions of interest (ROIs) based on the "In vivo high-resolution structural MRI-based atlas of human thalamic nuclei" (doi:10.1038/s41597-021-01062-y, 2021), with ROI ordering corresponding to that specified in the Thalamus_11ROI_names.csv file. cortex_time_series.npy contains time series extracted from 114 cortical ROIs based on the "Spontaneous eyelid closures link vigilance fluctuation with fMRI dynamic connectivity states" (doi:10.1073/pnas.1523980113, 2016), with ROI ordering corresponding to that specified in the Cortex_114ROI_names.csv file.
