Whole genome sequencing of Japanese moso bamboo seedlings. Phyllostachys edulis

Our goal is to characterize the genome sequence in seedling moso bamboo. In Kyoto, Japan, a moso bamboo flowered in 1954 and its seedlings were cultivated at the Fuji Bamboo Botanical Garden. In 2021, moso bamboo grown from the seedlings flowered at the Fuji Bamboo Garden (Kobayashi et al. 2022). Whole genome resequencing was performed on 8 germinated seedlings in 2022.
