资源简介:
This project will prevent the spread of Prickly Acacia and Parkinsonia (Weeds of National Significance), into the major Cornish Creek system and onto neighbouring properties. Control will be undertaken over a 2,534 ha mapped area, focussing on remaining scattered Prickly Acacia plants and larger Parkinsonia infestations along the flats and riparian areas of Gath Creek and Cornish Creek. Control will prevent potential weed seed sources entering the creek systems and adjoining properties, improving their ecosystem function, resilience and biodiversity. Pre and post-treatment photopoint monitoring will demonstrate the project’s environmental impacts and post-project follow-up treatments will be undertaken as needed.
