资源简介:
Description of Geminiviridae adapted from ICTVdb Virion Properties Morphology Virions consist of a capsid. Virus capsid is not enveloped. Capsid is elongated and exhibits icosahedral symmetry. The capsid is geminate and has a diameter of 18-20 nm. The capsid consists of 22 capsomers. With a length of 30 nm. Physicochemical and Physical Properties Virions have a buoyant density in CsCl of 1.34-1.35 g cm-3. Nucleic Acid The genome is not segmented and contains a single molecule of, or segmented; consists of two segments of (similar,) circular, ambisense, single-stranded DNA ; that forms a closed circle. The complete genome is 2500-3000 nucleotides long, or 4800-5600 nucleotides long. The multipartite genome is divided among different particles, each segment encapsidated separately and the segments are distributed between 2 different types of particles. Proteins The viral genome encodes structural proteins and non-structural proteins. Lipids Lipids are not reported. Genome Organization and Replication By itself, genomic nucleic acid is infectious (in species with 2 DNAs, both required for full systemic infection).
