Africa Water Bodies, 1998-present

The Africa Water Bodies, 1998-present data set is derived from SPOT/VEGETATION and MODIS sensors, detects water bodies over Africa, and provides seasonality information. The product is a fusion of the former VGT4 Africa Small Water Bodies, the Global Water Watch (GWW) and a Permanent Water mask (PW). The data are delivered in continent and 10 degree tiles. (V1) Water Bodies from SPOT/VGT is 10-day, 1 km resolution, 1998-present and (V2) Water Bodies from MODIS is 10-day, 250 m resolution, 2013-present.
