A cefotaxime and quinolone resistant Salmonella enterica strain was isolated from a poultry farm. The genome of the isolate was sequenced utilizing Illumina sequencing technology and subsequently assembled with the Shovill assembly pipeline. Based on the core genome multilocus sequence typing analysis, the isolate was identified as serovar Typhimurium within Serogroup B. Antimicrobial resistance gene analysis, conducted via ResFinder, revealed the presence of blaCMY-2 conferring resistance to beta-lactams, tetA for tetracycline resistance, QnrS1 associated with fluoroquinolone resistance, and catB4 mediating chloramphenicol resistance.
