Unpacking the Interplay among Digital Leadership, Total Quality Management, and Knowledge Management as Pathway to Sustainability

This study explores the key organizational and operational factors that influence sustainability management, with a focus on the roles of Total Quality Management (TQM), digital leadership, and knowledge management in business organizations in Indonesia. Specifically, it investigates whether these factors have direct or indirect effects on sustain-ability management outcomes. Based on empirical data collected from 389 respondents across various sectors, the study applies structural equation modelling (SEM) using SmartPLS to test the proposed conceptual framework. The findings reveal that digital leadership exerts a direct and significant positive influence on sustainability management, highlighting the strategic value of technology-oriented leadership. Although TQM does not directly affect sustainability management, its influence is mediated through knowledge management, which emerges as a critical link in translating both TQM and digital leadership into sustainable practices. These results underscore the pivotal role of knowledge management in aligning leadership and quality practices with sustainability goals, offering practical in-sights for Indonesian organizations seeking to advance their sustainable development performance.
