Impact-Based Thresholds for Investigation of High-Tide Flooding in the United States

This directory includes the observational data and model solutions analyzed in Piecuch et al. (2025) "Impact-Based Thresholds for Investigation of High-Tide Flooding in the United States" data.xls: Spreadsheet with 187 rows and 7 columns. Rows correspond to tide-gauge locations and columns correspond to data fields, which are:* Column 1: Tide-gauge name* Column 2: Tide-gauge region (following Sweet et al. (2022) report)* Column 3: Tide-gauge NOAA ID* Column 4: Tide-gauge longitude* Column 5: Tide-gauge latitude* Column 6: Tide-gauge NWS minor flooding threshold (where available; in m MHHW)* Column 7: Tide-gauge NOS minor flooding threshold (in m MHHW) thresholds.xls: Spreadsheet with 1000 rows and 187 columns. Columns correspond to the 187 tide-gauge locations detailed in data.xls. Rows contain 1000 values representing the 1000-member posterior solution for minor flood threshold at that tide gauge from the Bayesian model, from which the user can compute summary statistics (e.g., means, medians, standard deviations) or interrogate percentiles and quantiles.
