Gene expression profile of human intestinal mononuclear phagocytes (MNPs) at the single-cell level

MNPs play an important role in intestinal homeostasis. The interaction of intestinal metabolites with G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) expressed on human MNPs has not been well characterized. We used single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) to characterize human intestinal NMPs and identify cell type-specific GPCRs. Overall design: MNPs from unaffected intestinal mucosa were isolated by Fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS) and analyzed using scRNA-seq.
