Data for: Reproductive and population genetic characteristics of leading-edge and central populations of two temperate forest tree species and implications for range expansion

We have genotyped 229 Tilia platyphyllos and 376 T. cordata trees, from 38 populations using 12 microsatellite markers. For both species half the populations were considered leading range edge and half were from central locations. The article in Forest Ecology and Management gives details of the populations. The data is in Genalex format and can be used for standard population genetic analyses.
