Source code for the first published version of the bespoke MorphoShell software, which simulates spontaneous deformations of programmed shells. This version accompanies our (Duffy, Biggins) Defective Nematogenesis paper, which focuses on calculating the Gauss curvature developed by programmed nematic shells with topological defects. In this instance MorphoShell was used to validate our theoretical predictions. Some input and output files are provided, as well as a settings file, all source files, and compilation instructions.
