Digital Archive from Archaeological Investigations at Manor Farm, Market Harborough, Leicestershire, 2014 - 2019

This collection comprises images, x-ray scans, a report, spreadsheet, and GIS data from archaeological investigations at land to the west of Leicester Road (Manor Farm), Market Harborough, Leicestershire. Albion Archaeology was commissioned to undertake initial trial trenching in 2014, followed by open area excavations in 2016/17 and 2019, ahead of residential development. The investigations uncovered three Neolithic pits, three palaeochannels, a Bronze Age cremation and gully, three lengths of Bronze Age/early Iron Age pit alignments, middle/late Iron Age boundaries, enclosures and settlement, an early Roman settlement, and evidence for medieval open fields.
