Diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM) is a unique form of cardiomyopathy observed in diabetic patients, and in this study we aimed to gain a comprehensive understanding of the underlying mechanisms of DCM by integrating transcriptomics and metabolomics Male Sprague-Dawley rats were administered a single dose of streptozotocin to induce DCM and the diastolic and systolic function of the heart were evaluated through echocardiography and heart hemodynamics. The cardiac structure was determined using echocardiography and wheat germ agglutinin staining. A comprehensive analysis of global alterations in genes and metabolites within the DCM animal model at the heart level was conducted by integrating transcriptomics and metabolomics
