Disruption of BCAAs degradation is the primary mechanism of diabetic cardiomyopathy revealed by integrated transcriptome and metabolome analysis

Diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM) is a unique form of cardiomyopathy observed in diabetic patients, and in this study we aimed to gain a comprehensive understanding of the underlying mechanisms of DCM by integrating transcriptomics and metabolomics Male Sprague-Dawley rats were administered a single dose of streptozotocin to induce DCM and the diastolic and systolic function of the heart were evaluated through echocardiography and heart hemodynamics.
