This data set was generated by Large Eddy Simulation (LES) of an oscillating open channel flow under the influence of surface cooling. Two cases named 'Ra0' and 'Ra250' are included in the data set. The case with Rayleigh number 0 (Ra0) corresponds to no buoyancy forcing in the momentum equation while the other with Rayleigh number 250 (Ra250) corresponds to buoyancy forcing with Q of approximately 200 Watts/m^2. In each case, instantaneous flow solutions at six instances are included. These solutions were used in the analysis presented in the paper: Juha, M.J., Zhang, J., & Tejada-Martinez, A.E. (2017).
