Supplementary material - Spatial dynamics of Intimate partner violence in India

Intimate partner violence (IPV)—encompassing physical, sexual, and emotional abuse by a husband or male partner—is the most widespread form of gender-based violence against women. In India, about one-third of ever-married women report experiencing IPV. We examined the spatial determinants of IPV using district-level data from NFHS-5 (2019–2021), applying spatial econometric techniques, to identify spatial dependencies and inform targeted, evidence-based policy interventions (Manuscript under submission). This data repository contains supplementary materials detailing the definitions and operationalisation of both outcome and explanatory variables used in the study.
