Cultivars in different growing regions are often bred to be adapted to their local environment, with corresponding unique cultivation management measures being undertaken to ensure high yields and good quality.We resequenced a large scale of accessions by whole genome resequencing from multiple cotton-growing regions in China to shed substantial light on the genomic basis of local adaptation mechanisms and provide targets for molecular selection and genetic manipulation towards cotton improvement.
