Rainfall and discharge data for evaluating rainfall-runoff dynamics along an Afromontane land-use intensity gradient
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains 10-minute precipitation and stream-discharge observations from three adjacent headwater catchments in the South-West Mau Forest Complex, Kenya, monitored from November 2014 to November 2021. The catchments represent an Afromontane land-use intensity gradient: NF: Natural forestSHA: Smallholder agricultureTTP: Tea and tree plantation The dataset supports the analyses reported in the manuscript “Evaluation of rainfall-runoff dynamics along an Afromontane land use intensity gradient using high-frequency multi-year event data.” The deposited CSV file contains the timestamp, hydroclimatic season, catchment precipitation, and catchment discharge series used for rainfall-event detection, rainfall-runoff event extraction, hydrological-signature calculation, interannual hydroclimatic analysis, storm clustering, correlation analysis, Random Forest modeling, and partial-dependence analysis. The accompanying DATA_DICTIONARY.csv file defines the abbreviated variable names, units, and catchment codes. Missing or excluded observations are represented as blank or missing values. The dataset contains no personal or confidential information.
