This record contains the supporting data for the manuscript “Microbial genomes reveal ancient roots of RuBisCO-mediated carbon fixation.” Data S1 and data S5 are Excel workbooks containing curated genome metadata, habitat assignments, functional annotations, residue-level metrics, phylogenetic-signal estimates and model-comparison outputs. Data S2 to data S4 are compressed archives containing RbcL sequences, alignments, phylogenetic trees, tree annotations, bacterial–eukaryotic reference analyses, AlphaFold-predicted structural models, mapped residue annotations, COM-derived structural descriptors and dimensionality-reduction outputs. The accompanying Supplementary Materials file contains detailed methods, supplementary text, figures and data-file descriptions.
