Supporting data for "labelling high-status women with masculine references"

This dataset includes raw data generated during research for the Ph.D. thesis, "labelling high-status women with masculine references. The dataset includes research ethics approval documents, questionnairs and demographic informations.
The thesis project investigates a noteworthy phenomenon  emerged in recent years in China. When confronted with certain kinds of women, people label them with masculine references, such as “gē” (“brother” in English), “nǚ hàn zi” (literally translated as “female man” in English), etc. What are the target, function and mechanism behind the tendency to use masculine references?

本数据集收录了《以男性称谓标注高地位女性》这一博士论文研究过程中生成的原始数据。该数据集包含研究伦理审查文件、问卷以及人口统计学信息。该论文项目探究了近年来在中国出现的一个引人注目的现象：在面对某些类型的女性时，人们倾向于使用男性称谓对其进行标注，例如“哥”（英文中意为“兄弟”）、“女汉子”等。究其背后的目标、功能和机制，使用男性称谓的倾向究竟有何所指？
