Aleijadinho 3D

The Aleijadinho 3D Dataset was developed by the University of São Paulo, with the goal of preserving and disseminating the artistic works of Brazilian sculptor Aleijadinho through 3D digitization technologies. The dataset is composed of 17 segments, including the 12 prophets, church facades and other decorative pieces, boasting a large volume of data and involving sophisticated 3D scanning and processing procedures. During its development, high-end equipment from Leica Geosystems was utilized for remote scanning, ensuring non-invasiveness and simplified logistics. This dataset is primarily applied to the digital preservation and online exhibition of cultural heritage, allowing the public to gain detailed insights into these artworks via 3D interactive experiences on online platforms, thereby enhancing cultural experiences and promoting the protection of artistic works.
