Synergistic Effects of Phytonutrients and Biotics on the Gut–Immune–Metabolic Axis
收藏资源简介:
This dataset compiles structured tables summarizing biotic classes and their mechanisms in gut and health. The dataset includes information on: Prebiotics: Classification, examples (FOS, inulin, GOS, resistant starch, polyphenols), gut microbial targets, and associated health outcomes. Probiotics: Definitions, key strains (Lactobacillus, Bifidobacterium), mechanisms (pathogen competition, cytokine modulation), and clinical evidence. Synbiotics: Combined formulations of prebiotics and probiotics with synergistic health effects. Postbiotics: Microbial metabolites and inactivated cells, their receptors/genes (e.g., FFAR2, AhR, TLRs), and roles in inflammation reduction, gut barrier integrity, and systemic regulation. Phytonutrients: Plant-derived bioactives such as polyphenols and carotenoids with microbiome and antioxidant benefits. The dataset is provided in machine-readable formats (CSV and Excel) and includes a human-readable version of the original tables (DOCX). It is intended for use in microbiome, nutrition, and immunology research, enabling both computational analysis and educational reference.
