Chlamydomonas reinhardtii demonstrates near-planar strokes when swimming. We study two strokes observed in a Newtonian (nt in file names) and viscoelastic (ve in file names) fluid respectively. The raw experimental data for the flagellar shape are stored in ntExperiement*Component.csv and veExperiment*Component.csv, where * is replaced by x or y.<br>We assume that each component (x or y) of an observed stroke shape follows a form of a traveling wave as a function of time and arc length. We then generate model strokes by fitting the mean, amplitude and phase functions of each traveling wave, using cubic spline interpolation. Results are stored in ntFit*_Component.csv and veFit_*component.csv, where * is replaced by x or y. The spline coefficients of interpolation for each function are also provided.<br>ntExperiment_*Component,csv, veExperiement_*Component.csv, ntFit_*Component.csv, and veFit*Component.csv: each row corresponds to the shape of a flagellum at an instantaneous moment, and each column corresponds to a fixed point on the flagellum within one period cycle. length unit: micronmeter; time step: 0.0001/6 second.
