Species Identification from Highlights of the Swedish Slow-TV Programme The Great Moose Migration (2023–2024 Broadcast Seasons)

This dataset compiles timestamped wildlife observations from the 2023 and 2024 seasons of Den Stora Älgvandringen (“The Great Moose Migration”), a Swedish nature broadcast. Each entry corresponds to a specific highlight clip in which one or more animal species appeared on screen. The dataset includes 941 entries and records the date, time, a brief description title of the scene, the taxonomic group(s) observed, and the common and Latin names of the identified animals. Species identification was conducted manually by the dataset author. The dataset offers a unique, curated record of animal appearances in a popular, slow-TV wildlife broadcast, and may be of interest to researchers studying media representations of wildlife, citizen science, or species visibility in digital nature experiences.
