Reflective surface image dataset

When CCTV is scarce or nonexistent, innovative methods of criminal detection can be made possible by utilizing reflections from surfaces. In this study, a specialized dataset of photographs of people reflecting on various reflective surfaces\u2014such as mirrors, glass windows, steel surfaces, and eyeglass lenses\u2014is presented. Using high-resolution cameras from many mobile devices (Redmi 12 5G, Vivo, iPhone, and Redmi Note 8 Pro), the dataset was mostly gathered on a college campus at different times of day and in a variety of lighting situations. It features pictures of people in contemplation that were taken from various perspectives to mimic the unpredictability of actual environments. This dataset includes pictures of reflecting surfaces, all of which include mirror images, such as a car's side mirror, a house mirror, a traffic mirror, etc., and reflections of items, such as how every shining surface reflects an object's shadow, etc. Shining surfaces are used to reveal hidden objects.
