This is data and replication files for Suspect Citizens: What 20 Million Traffic Stops Tell Us About Policing and Race. More specifically, these data sets are the individual traffic stops used in the associated book. All were conducted between 2000 and 2016. Each is zipped DTA (State file type) file. For the smaller data sets and the files for analysis see: http://fbaum.unc.edu/books/SuspectCitizens/data.html. The "Clean" file has the cleaned and standardized variables used in the analysis in the book. Additionally, this data set has already dropped passengers and those stopped at a check point. The other has the data as downloaded and merged from the state.
