Stability and Heat Transfer Characteristics of Hydrodynamic Channel Flows and Quasi-two-dimensional Magnetohydrodynamic Duct flows with Repeated Wedge-shaped Protrusions

The power generation efficiency of fusion reactors is dependent on how effectively heat from the reactor can be transferred to the fluid flowing through the ducts surrounding it. This thesis studies the physics of the flow through a duct with a surface modification of one of the walls, and how this technique helps to improve the heat transfer efficiency.
