Harvest and use of wild resources by residents of Yakutat, AK (2015)

All of the data was collected through systematic household surveys. From January through April 2015, 100 households were surveyed face-to-face by ADF&G and NPS staff, in collaboration with locally hired research assistants. Researchers recorded answers directly on paper surveys and documented search and harvest areas using an iPad application developed for the Division of Subsistence. Data was collected on harvest and use of wild resources, household demographics, income and employment, food security, participation in state subsistence fisheries, grocery and household heating expenses, participation in handicrafts, and challenges/benefits to living in Yakutat. This dataset was created as part of NPRB project 1519.
