The dataset contains original data for the research paper titled "A Kernel average misorientation evaluation of surface alterations caused by angled droplet impingements". The article deals with the effect of the impact angle of repeatedly acting liquid droplets on the surface of austenitic stainless steel AISI 316L. The article delves into the theory of the separation of the targeted area into segments based on damage distribution. The dataset contains original SEM micrographs used for construction of figure compositions within the original article. The dataset contains individual results of surface roughness profile measurement described in the article. The dataset contains as measured results of EBSD analysis in native .h5oina file format as well as with .ctf format, easily accessible with Notepad, MATLAB, and Python. etc. The measurement as well as discussion of results is in a preprint DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.15516258 and in article: 10.1016/j.jestch.2025.102126
