资源简介:
This dataset reports CTD and water column profiles near the GC-600 natural oil seep in the Gulf of Mexico aboard R/V Point Sur cruise PS19_05 in the Gulf of Mexico from 2018-09-01 to 2018-09-04. Water column profiles were collected at 15 stations and the data includes CTD, dissolved oxygen, Chlorophyll-a Dissolved Organic Matter (DOM) fluorescence (fDOM), altimeter, Photosynthetically Available Radiation (PAR) and Surficial PAR (SPAR). During this cruise, we performed a series of CTD casts in and around the site to constrain water column structure and radium isotopes. The main objective of the cruise was to use the ROV Odysseus from Pelagic Research Services to directly sample hydrocarbons emanating from MegaPlume at GC-600 (27Ë 22.199'N 90Ë 34.262'W). During our time at sea, we further aimed to sample radium isotopes in the water column profiles in an upstream-downstream transect around the work site and also to collect sediment cores around the seep site to constrain seepage rates via radium isotopes.
