Topography of the respiratory tract bacterial microbiota in feedlot beef calves

The objective of this study was to describe different niche bacterial microbiota present along the entire cattle respiratory tract of beef cattle and determine which upper respiratory tract microbiota may contribute the most to the composition of the lung microbiota. This findings of this study will help guide future research into bovine respiratory disease by indicating which upper respiratory microbiota we should be targeting for novel diagnostic and disease control strategies.
